That's undoubtedly very nice. Now, if they also fix their terrible FOURTH down percentage, it would also actually mean something  Wink

I would call that sign false advertising.  They are mid pack in most other defensive categories and are once again towards the back of the pack in stopping the run.

No kidding man. I'm beginning to think there are "football" stats, like the 3rd down thing, and then there are the "WTF" stats. Vikings always finish last in the "WTF" stats, like 4th down, record breaking field goals against them, game-changing fumbles, ref calls, etc.

There was a stat recently that confirmed what we all know. While the Vikings weren't last in field goals made over expectation in the last several years (they were close), Vikings were dead last in field goals made over expectation against them (no one was even close). That's not a football stat, that's a WTF stat. That's just really shitty luck.

Every year there are teams that get the bounces for them and those that get them against them.  Don't remember the name of the stat they use for this, but basically showing which team had good luck and which team had bad luck.  And usually the teams in the playoffs get a win or 2 via a fortunate bounce/penalty/WTF.
