Reading all the Monday morning draft stories and the media is on the hype train for all the 1st round QBs drafted. Fans are elated. Kudos being given to all the front offices, wins being handed out already, and the Lollipop and Butterfly train has left the station chock full. Its what makes the NFL such a fan and ratings powerhouse, the importance of the Draft and then how each weekend is an event that millions of fans plan around every Sunday during the season. There's nothing like it on the sports landscape, how the drama builds every week until kickoff.
Peaking behind the curtain you'll see a litany of draft busts, ne'er-do-wells and franchises set back years by bad decisions. Some of these guys picked in round 1 (QBs) are not going to pan out. Chicago in particular has wasted prime years with a stellar defense with the likes of Mitch Trubisky (and what they traded in compensation to get him) and now Justin Fields. Fields seems like a good kid, but I'll have to root against him as a Bear. IMO, he's a question mark.
