He's a safety.

Edit: Sorry, I should clarify. He was a corner at Cal, but he was projected by many scouts to be a safety. And this was the pick that Spielman himself announced, notably saying "Camryn Bynum, Safety, California." 

So that's their intention, but we'll see what happens.

Zimmer seemed rattled after the first rd trade-down...I dont think seeing some of their key targets fly off the board before 23 helped his demeanor or longevity in this life. Sounds like the Viking war room got a little tense for a while vs the joy Rosenbaum brought a year ago.
