I am still challenged to believe this was contrived by NASCAR to generate more viewership, but my main reason for disbelief is that the key information many people will take away is, "NASCAR only has 1 minority driver", which will just confirm the impression of the sport being full of hillbillies. But hey, maybe they are not trying to attract open-minded people...maybe NASCAR thinks there are some people who like the idea of a sport that is still full of white faces and is trying to draw any who aren't already fans.

Door pull ropes aren't typically nooses. The rope was fashioned into a noose by someone.

Photographic evidence (that even Wallace admitted was true) revealed, that, whatever it  was...had been there for months. 
Wallace has also (belatedly, but gracefully) admitted he was NOT THE TARGET.  
What a stretch of credulity, that some want to maintain, that racism is an omnipresent/systemic reality of everyday American life.  


In fact, true racism is such an American rarity...that it has to be created out of whole cloth/thin air. 
The demand for it (racism) far supersedes the supply.  So much so, it has to be bought. 
By Smollett or the MSM.  

The only difference it makes that it was there for months is that Wallace was clearly not a specific target. Still, someone thought it was funny or clever or whatever to fashion a pull rope into a noose. I think everyone knows what a noose represents. Maybe the person who did it meant nothing by it. Maybe he's too stupid to know what it means. Maybe he knew exactly what he was doing. We'll probably never know. 

But your comment on racism in America is ignorant. Go to Fox News comments sections or Reddit or Youtube or any other site that allows "anonymous" comments on news stories, videos, etc. It's a bathroom wall of KKK-level, vile and disgusting remarks. Gone are the dog whistles and coded language that you see on more monitored forums (and the President). It's just up front, hood-off racism.

Geared toward conservatives, it looks and functions similar to Reddit but without the rules against hate speech and violence.

I think they should just call it "the basket."

I'm still trying to figure out how fashioning a noose is the best way to make a garage door pull cord? 

Do you grab the loop?  Wouldn't it just tighten around your fingers when you pull on it? 

Do you grab it where it's wrapped around the rope above the loop?  Wouldn't that just make it come undone when apply any downward pressure?

It seems like a really complicated knot to tie, especially when there are much easier knots to tie (and work better).

Enlighten me.

I'm not sure if you checked out their new site or not. It's actually pretty bad. I can see why they had issues.
