I never appreciated him until I heard DMX sample/cover no sunshine for a movie sound track back in the 90s I think it was,  got me appreciating Bill more after that.

Yes, one of my favorites when I was a kid. Also "Lovely Day" was a great hit and was actually used 2 years ago on NFL Network.

I love the song 'Lovely Day'...its on the rotation for my Chaka Khan channel on Pandora.
