There goes 5m+ in salary cap...  note: the team had to release Remmers & decline Sendejo just to make these basic moves...

Yes, but there's more to come. Clearly, the Vikings are trying to trade one of their corners (probably Waynes). And something will happen with Griffen. That's where the big savings will come from..over $20M just from those two.

Harris will be looking for some starter type of money.

Well, he might want it... but who's going to out-bid us?  He's shown some good things (I've always liked him better than Sendejo), but I'm not sure that other teams will think as highly of Harris- due to his limited exposure.  Then again... most of them know more than I do.

As for Harris, himself: he doesn't have alot of leverage (again, due to his limited exposure).  A one-year deal is perfect for him; it gives him the chance to prove he's a top-flight Safety... and gives him the opportunity to be a FA.

The light came on last year and he’s a legit quality  starter now.  2nd rd tender means he will be starting for us in 2019.

Hill is a good backup and i think he will get an offer we cannot match due to his upside.

Harris, who emerged as a starter after Andrew Sendejo suffered a season-ending injury, will receive a second-round tender, which means if the two sides do not come to an extension agreement he will make $3 million in 2019. Other teams can make offers to Harris. If the Vikings do not match, they would receive a second-round pick as compensation.

Hill will get a low-level tender at $2 million. He won the starting job out of training camp last year, but rookie Brian O’Neill took his place midway through the year. If he returns, Hill is likely to be a backup swing tackle.

Love this move.  $3 million for Harris is very reasonable, and if we lose him to another team a 2nd round pick is more than what he's worth.
