I would be ecstatic with that pick!
This was an interesting tidbit as well...  "I was sworn to secrecy on this bit last late-April but I don’t think it’s a secret anymore, so let’s just state it outright: The Vikings badly wanted an offensive lineman in Round 1 last year, and they specifically targeted Arkansas’ Frank Ragnow, a Chanhassen native."
I also heard the Vikings really wanted an OL with their first round pick, but that player (or players) was taken before their pick and they went BPA with Hughes.  It'll be interesting to see if the Vikings try to move up a couple spots if an OL they really like gets within reach of their pick.  Spielman knows that his #1 priority this off-season is upgrading the offensive line.

NFL.com has a new mock up. I want OL pretty badly with that first pick, but there are a handful of players I'd take ahead of OL if they fell. This is one.

I could take those first two picks...Edwards would signal a move of O'Neill...Oliver had a rough junior year..his fallout with Applewhite will be a topic of discussion at the combine...but if you get sophomore year Oliver at #18? Whoa...

He was probably consensus #1 overall going into the season.

It would help them out a lot but if they are planning on moving Reiff to guard then Williams would stay at left tackle.
I prefer a trade down and would be happy with Risner or Dillard.

I would be surprised if Williams fell to #18. I think Oliver would be an awesome pick, especially if they can work on bulking him up/increasing his strength without loosing any of his quickness. He is such a disruptive force, but he also plays in a weak conference. At 275 lbs, I would be concerned on how he would hold up against quality NFL guards. He won't be able to go up again Remmers and Compton every week.  :p
