Vikings working to re-sign Mike Priefer, per reports

His development of kickers is indeed disconcerting, but I have no problem with the punting from Wile who seems to be an upgrade from Quigley "Down Under". Wile was certainly MVP in the Bear game.
We were middle of the pack on receiving punts, yardage, etc. but are top ten in punt coverage, punts inside the 20, etc.
Like the rest of the staff, this might be Priefer's make-or-break year.

I thought it might be only 3 blocked kicks allowed, only 33% missed fieldgoals, 18% missed extra points, and a 41 yard punt average

I saw this the other day and I would be very disappointed if they retained Priefer. He's had enough chances already.

Yes, I am.

I think we are much further away then most think.  Most seem to think getting two starting Guards is going to put us over the top.

This Zimmer led team has shown no heart/passion/fire since the ass-whooping in Philly last year.  Going through the motions all year in very big game.

It is starting to feel like survive 2019 and hope begins in 2020.  Nothing that happened the last 7 days gives me much hope. Let's see what happens the next 7.  Been through to many off seasons like this to quit now. Till death do we...

The Carlson debacle alone should get Priefer canned.  Give up 2 picks to trade up and draft a Kicker higher than any kicker in team history.  Cut the veteran kicker who was at least decent in preseason.  Rookie kicker blows it in preseason, then falls apart Week 1 going 0-3.  Make snap decision to cut rookie Kicker.  Sign mediocre replacement.

Watch rookie kicker be picked up by another team and hit 16/17 FG's by tweaking his mechanics.  

And now we're going to reward that failure with another contract?

Only the Vikings ... we're hopeless.
