How bout that Bennett roughing penalty?
#21
Rudolph barely even touched him as he was turning,  he was going low as soon as he came around the corner and the block did nothing to affect or change how he was preparing to hit the qb.  he made impact slightly above the knees which once again has been a flag for quite some time.   he wasnt blocked into him and if he isnt able to play within the rules at the speed he plays then he needs to slow down.  weve all seen our guys get called for the same or even less blatant hits.

do I think QBs need to get treated like any other player.... hell yes,  but until the rules are changed that was a penalty.

It's like the catch rule when it got to the point where no one seemed to know what a catch was. The refs have no clue what roughing the passer is now. You hear Perreira disagree with the refs. The commentators disagree with each other. And fans are left wondering what the actual fuck is going on. It's going to continue to be inconsistent.

Agreed.  And you have refs telling Sendejo that "they want us to throw flags on these".  They make it all so subjective.  Now the catch rule is dialed back and what wasn't a catch last year now is a TD for the Eagles RB.

Bennett probably should have been called for a penalty on the very next play but I am sure the flags were gonna stay in the pocket.
