Pretty obvious the NFC is loaded, with Chicago taking it a level up with acquiring Mack. Minnesota seems to split a lot with Detroit, so nothing comes easy. What separates teams like Philly (now with Wentz), Los Angeles, Atlanta, Green Bay, Carolina, New Orleans, etc. with the Vikings isn't that great. That's what makes Carlson's gagfest a bit tough to swallow....that was a highly valuable NFC and division win that just went wide right up in smoke several times. Can't afford to piss away any more of those victories in hand, especially in the NFC. Its why Zimmer had little remorse in cutting Carlson, he knows the team had it and #$^^ed it up.
Minnesota needs to crank up their run game and dial in their special teams for the stretch run after Buffalo. Hate to look past the Bills, but if Minnesota can't beat them with a raw rookie QB at home then the season is gone anyway. Short turnaround and its off to Los Angeles for Thursday night.
