Vikings Center Pat Elflein has successful surgery on fractured left ankle

Vikings rookie center Pat Elflein had successful surgery Monday to repair a fractured left ankle, a source said.
The source said “all went well” with the surgery performed by Dr. Robert Anderson in Green Bay, Wis., but that it’s too early to determine if Elflein could be available to participate in spring drills. He’s expected to at least be ready for the start of training camp in July.
“Nick (Easton) had the same surgery a few weeks back,” Sirles said. “Nick’s already out of the boot and he’s starting to walk around.’’

Wow, two of the starting OL both have to have surgery for fractured ankles.  Wonder what the odds of that happening would be.  Hopefully they'll both be back full strength next season.

Hoping for the best because he is a key player. I wonder how his shoulder is doing.

We were with him for a half hour in Philly afterward.  He must be impervious to pain, because he was able to get around in the walking boot and seemed more worried about getting his family out of Philly safely than his foot.
