How much will it cost to bring Teddy Bridgewater back?
#11
I think a fair deal would be a base salary of about 10 mil (similar to Cutler) with hefty incentives that could puck it up towards 15 to 18 mil.  Maybe a 250K per game started incentive and possibly some based on stats/performance but I imagine those are difficult to negotiate with QBs.

Interesting point about the Glennon deal. Sounds like the Bears weren't as stupid as they looked at first blush. Vikings will likely have to do something similar with the QB they choose. Because all three of them can command starter-level contracts, and all three of them have serious question marks.

No matter where he goes Case Keenum is going to be overpaid. I doubt the Vikings will be the team who does it. If they truly want to take this team to the "next level," Keenum's accuracy issues and downfield limitations may flash like a roadblock in their minds. They do in mine anyway.

In my opinion, the ideal situation is one where we could bring back both Sam and Teddy. Their knee issues will keep their terms reasonable, and if so, with $57M in cap space we could easily afford both in the short term. Problem with that scenario is that both will want to be a starter, and I can see a few teams willing to best one or both of our offers if a clearer path to a starting job is an implicit part of the deal. So that means we may have to commit to just one of the two (or bring in an outsider).

Typically, the Vikings' offseason moves are pretty easy to predict. This year, it's about as clear as mud.
