Vikings place the exclusive rights tender on DL Jalen Redmond
#1
Exclusive rights free agents (ERFAs) are players with two or fewer seasons of service time and whose contracts have expired. If their team tenders a qualifying offer (a one-year contract usually at league-minimum salary) the player has no negotiating rights with other teams, and must either sign the tender with the team or sit out the season.

Gives the Vikings time to negotiate or extend a longer term deal. Jalen will turn 27 later this month.

He's proven to be more productive than either Javon Hargrave or Jonathan Allen last season.
I like this kid. Good move. Gonna keep him around some way, some how.

An obvious no-brainer. We just have to hope his production continues after a big contract, some of these big D-linemen seem to check out after a payday.

I think this is just hitting pause on his extension clock. What a find he's been.
