McCarthy has thrown a few more INTs in his first 8 starts, but he's tied with Drake Maye for the most TD passes while having 40-50 less pass attempts than the members of his fellow draft class.

Doesn't look that bad now does it?"

Nice, I appreciate it!

Nailor literally gave two interceptions to the other team (one of which was still a Nailor catch with his arm and leg IMO and not an INT)
McCarthy batted one of his passes down and it fell right into the arms of a lineman who didn't even realize he caught it

Take those three ridiculous interceptions away and you have 8, so he's tied with Maye (but that's the game).

I find it interesting that he's thrown for far less attempts than every other QB listed and the knock on KO by many fans is that he is too pass happy.  I also find it bizarre at the rate of our receiving corps dropping passes.  Things change for the better if they catch half of their drops.

I see you didn't include Jayden Daniels, who was far closer to attempts, but fared much better in completion percentage and less INTs and passing TDs.

I wish McCarthy would have stayed healthy all season to see what he could have done with a full season of experience, but that's why it's hard for so many to realize his growth.  I fully expect him to make a big leap in '26.
