Vikings need to find a way to protect McCarthy
#1
He's been under SO much pass rush pressure in his first 3 games, its f-ing nuts. Protect his ass. This is a big boy team and if you let them go nuts on JJ, it will be an ugly game.

This will be the key of the game. Lamar is going to get his, but the Vikings will need to score in this one. Release the Kraken and let's get some chunk pass plays today.

He's got as healthy an OL as he's going to get for a while.  I'd like to see the Vikings start to benefit from the resources they put against that group.

JJM is (imo) still a rook and he aint at the point to carry a team. He needs support up front, even the best do.

I dont know if the Vikings win today or not, but I sure hope they give themselves (and their QB) a chance to win this game.

Last weekend it was Allen and Hargrave that showed up , jamir Gibbs was held in check for the first time in his career versus the Vikings.,.

Today I hope it's Mason that will be the difference.

When he gets it going, he'll suck the life out of the Ravens D.

iWe'll see?

He got his protection today and was very mediocre. I think he’s just not locked in yet and a little too excited out there, and that’s to be expected I guess from a 22 year old. None of us should be shocked I guess as this was and is the plan.

He had protection today. Some of his throws sailed on him and then the INTs. The OL needs to not take so many penalties and KOC needs to help JJM with better play calling. He didn't have to chuck it deep on 3rd and 1. Moving the chains and sustaining drives is important. I don't know why they moved away from the run game

I’m not shocked. He played decent and showed some nice flashes. Also had some ugly overthrows and a couple bad decisions.

The offense as a whole, and sadly the killer special teams turnover, caused the loss. JJM was part of it for sure. The defense played admirably and was the best unit of the three, but outside of the one Bengals game, the extreme lack of turnovers has been a bummer.
