So why is the Steeler's field so bad?

I guess its just complete garbage and its a known fact. How does that happen with a franchise like Pittsburgh? I saw some pics of it, its like dried out...thin layers of dried grass/sod just slipped under their feet for most of the game. A league worth billions of dollars and its like their main product, the players, they couldn't give a shit about. Rodgers said it was 'borderline unplayable'. I understand that these stadiums get used for a lot of other things besides football, but c'mon now.

Agreed.  No excuse.  Soldier Field is always a crap show too.

remember the prime time game, at Heinz field, some years back and the punt (IIRC) burrowed into the turf about 1/3 of the ball and stuck there?  no it had rained, but that was still something I dont think I have ever seen before or since.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Probably the only solution is to give every stadium the same artificial turf. That will make everyone happy, I’m sure.
