The next 4 games after the Bye week
#21
Chargers on the road in a game that should have a very large Viking contingency at the game needs to be a win and then we have to get one of other 3, seems like we have always play the Eagles on the road so glad we finally get them at home. If Jackson is back for our game with the Ravens, he is a terrible matchup for our defense, we will need to score a lot of points in that game and the Lions game to have a shot.

Chargers just lost their prized rookie RB to a high ankle sprain. Doubt he's back for our matchup.

That significantly weakens their offense if you can cover their WRs.

My vape is pharmaceutical grade now that MN has legalized the stuff...A little indica some nights or a nice hybrid blend when you dont want to get tired. I cant imagine slamming 6 beers anymore. Its just not for me.

Yeah, I hit the local dispensary for gummies, vape and a joint or two as we have a friend who only partakes in joint form so I keep around a few prerolls for when he comes over. I like the Indica/Sativa hybrids. I drink wine, usually a Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley (my fave). Vodka/lemonade for the hot days by the pool. Beer very rarely, although I like a good hoppy IPA from Funky Buddha or Barrel of Monks (south Florida breweries) when we go out sometimes as a changeup.

The way injuries consume this league, it’s darn near impossible to look too far ahead. So, naturally, we will look a month into the future for the NFC North.

Shield your eyes, Vikings fans.

The Packers and Bears have already had their bye weeks. The Vikings get theirs in Week 6 while the Lions have theirs in Week 8.

Let’s now rank the tasks over the next month from tallest to shortest:

1, Vikings: BYE, Philadelphia (4-1), at LA Chargers (3-2), at Detroit (4-1).
That’s three teams with a combined 11-4 record, two on the road and one on a short week (Thursday nighter in L.A.). They do, however, get a mini bye before playing at Detroit.

2, Lions: At Kansas City (2-3), Tampa Bay (4-1), BYE, Minnesota (3-2).
Three teams with a 9-6 record, but two at home.

3, Packers: Cincinnati (2-3), at Arizona (2-3), at Pittsburgh (3-1), Carolina (2-3).
The Bengals might be the second-worst team behind the Jets. And the Cardinals defeat themselves even at home.

4, Bears: At Washington (3-2), New Orleans (1-4), at Baltimore (1-4), at Cincinnati (2-3).
A combined record of 7-13. (And keep an eye out for the Hail Mary in Washington this time, fellas).

p.s. please let the Eagles pound the piss out of the Giants tonight so we don't have a fired up unit the following week against Minnesota.

These next four games aren't as scary as they once were.

The Eagles are always dangerous, but they're not playing well. Their offense has more three-and-outs than any offense in 20 years. They rank 30th in pass yards, bottom third in rush yards. Their offensive line (typically considered the best in the NFL) is struggling, Barkley is averaging 3 yards a carry, and now they lose Landon Dickerson. Vikings get them at home after a bye. Winnable game.

The Chargers are in a similar boat. Injuries to both Slater and Alt, among others, have them reeling. They've lost two straight and their good-looking rookie RB just went on IR. It's away but as others have mentioned, the LA crowd is not really an advantage.

The Lions look like the best team in the NFL right now. And this one's in their house.

The Ravens. I'm sure Lamar Jackson will be back for this one, but that defense right now is atrocious.

To be honest, I’m less concerned about who we play than how well JJM and his supporting cast play (or doesn’t play). I think the first half of this season is all about how fast we can chew through JJM’s learning curve and get some wins along the way.

Like if JJM throws out back to back quality games, but it ends up in 2 losses, I’m much happier than 2 wins with shit QB play but miracle defensive turnovers.

I think this team can hang with anyone once we get competent QB play.

This is the kind of thing that always seems to set the Vikings up for a crushing defeat!

The #Vikings have played FOURTEEN different offensive line combinations through the first 5 games, Kevin O’Connell mentioned via The Schrager Hour
