Isiah “Small Sample Size” Rodgers

Maybe it was being there in section 207, but it appears like he’s the real deal, no? I guess me and BFlo were on to something.  Big Grin

We haven’t delivered a beat down like that since the 98 season and it’s crickets in here. Sad.

Saw someone question whether Wentz looked good or not. Well, by my calculations, that’s 4 TDs by the O in 3 quarters of football under the new Ginger Jesus and 3 in 8 quarters by JJ. Darrisaw being back definitely helped, but I’m riding Wentz until he falters. Same with Mason.

@MaroonBells great to finally meet you and your son. It will be hard to top this weekend, but let’s all give it a shot in 26.

It wouldn't be a JIT post without patting yourself on the back.  Rolleyes

Its one game, a really fun one and a win. Not sure where the crickets are? Seems pretty jovial in here. Nice turnaround. We aren't properly jacked enough for you? It was a huge defensive game, 5 turnovers I believe? Not sure how much I'd extrapolate yet from a win like this, but its nice regardless.

Harrison Smith seemed genuinely blown away.

Dwight McGlothern said he felt like he was watching a Create-A-Player.

All the running made Josh Metellus cramp.

On Isaiah Rodgers's all-time defensive performance, and what the win means for these Vikings:

Same, Justin! FarmAid, Oktoberfest, tailgate, perfect weather, a MUCH-needed Vikings blowout victory, meeting Esera Tuaola after he sang the national anthem, watching the Browns game-winning field goal against the Packers live on a phone a row in front of us. Really doesn't get any better than that.

Rodgers was a terrific addition. And I remember you predicting he'd end up in purple. But I agreed. It just had that BFlo feel to it. Talented, but mostly unheralded player who would be a great fit with Flo.

But I'm not ready to name Wentz the starter. He was efficient and played a mostly mistake-free game. Our offense desperately needed that. But I still think our default position should be that JJ will be the starter when he's healthy. Wentz benefitted greatly from a much improved running game, Darrisaw's return and a defense that allowed him to play with a big lead. Our floor might be lower, but I think our ceiling is higher with JJM.

Pretty sure Isaiah Rodgers having the best first half a corner has ever had in NFL history

- 1 catch allowed for 2 yards
- Interception for touchdown
- Two forced fumbles, one he recovered himself and returned for another touchdown
- 99.9 first half @PFF grade
