If you bring Thielen in, you are bringing in a WR3 for the whole year, who can do time at WR2 or WR1 if need be. We wouldn’t be looking at Thielen if it was only for weeks 1-3. The only way Thielen makes sense is if your suspect on our WR depth as a whole. I have to imagine that we’re looking at Moore being out for the year, Felton not really blossoming, and Lucky Jackson not being a dependable guy, and we’re like we pretty much are rolling with 3 WR for the season. If Nailor’s hand is seriously questionable, now we’re talking about being down to 2 WR for the season and 1 WR for the first 3 weeks. Thielen would mitigate a lot of question marks, plus he’s already practiced with JJM, and already knows the system.
That said, I totally agree that CB is a more serious concern (team-wise), but keeping your young QB surrounded by a quality support system is a very viable concern as well.
Depends on what bandaid means to you....For me that means he's relied on more the first 3 weeks than after JA is back.
At the end of the day? That WR 3 is probably nothing more than 498 yds and 4-5 tds for the season.
Just a guess....Someone will correct me if I'm guessing wrong.
