Agreed....

Only thing I am fairly certain of is Rypien is gone, Brosmer is #3

Timing says after a thorough review through TC and the preseason, coaches aren't enamored with Sam Howell. Wentz seems older than 32 years old, was surprised when I just looked him up. Left just to guess at this point as to why. Maybe they've decided a vet presence for both JJ and Brosmer would be beneficial. Its obviously not a camp/preseason arm as those are done now.

Its weird honestly.

I would guess this means Brosmer has jumped Howell and Rypien and the Vikings are looking for a veteran in the event of an injury.

Team is obviously not happy with Howell or Rypien. When we traded for Sam Howel—after flirting with the idea of adding Rodgers, Darnold and Daniel Jones as potential backups—I thought that was not at all the kind of backup Kevin O'Connell envisioned for his young QB.

I think it's pretty safe to say that both Howell and Rypien are gone. It would be pretty hard to proceed with confidence knowing your coach is working out your replacement.

You're "probably" right re: Howell, but I don't think its a done deal he's outta here (yet).

We'll know for sure soon.

I think the result will probably be Howell and Rypien will be gone and Wentz will be #2. Brosmer will be the emergency 3rd QB and will be on the 53 man roster but obviously not on the 48 on the active roster. If McCarthy gets injured (God forbid) early in the season before Wentz has time to learn the offense then maybe Brosmer comes in. If it happens later in the season Wentz would play.
