Just went on my betting site (BetMGM) to up the stake on the Vikings winning the Super Bowl and saw that the line went from +3500 when I placed the bet back in May to +2500 now. First, wow. Second, if I edit the bet, it will be at the new odds, lowering my potential winnings, so I want to keep that bet as it is. But can I make a new, separate bet on the same thing or will the new bet cancel out the original bet? I guess basically what I'm asking is can you make multiple bets on the same thing? —Curious in Colorado

You can bet it as many times as you want at most books but each wager gets the posted odds at the time it's made. So with the odds getting shorter on this future it doesn't make sense to abandon previous bets made at better odds.

Books nowadays offer cashout options where you can get a partial refund on a wager you change your mind about, but I wouldn't do that without a really strong reason (if it's even offered on future book wagers at your book.)
