The Goat didn't want Uncle Sammy on the Raiders

So yeah, Darnold's upside is definitely what Seattle is banking on. I think they are smart in doing so and letting Geno go. Ol' Pete needs QB competence right now, he's not going to be developing shit....Pete will be 74 years old in September. To your point, its very much a shot worth taking.

I think thats especially true with a probable "all world RB" in Jeanty and a blue chip TE as their lead dogs on offense.

He could show some of the things he learned last year and continue to play well (in which case you have a 28 year old franchise QB for cheap), or he could revert back to bad Sam without the terrific surround he had in Minnesota. I suspect it will be somewhere in between.

One thing's for certain: if Sam completely fails in Vegas while JJM lights it up in Minny, KOC's stock is going galactic.

Media circles seem pretty down on Sam's chances in Seattle, and Kirk flopped in ATL. I think a lot of the QB Guru stuff was probably priced into KO's negotiations. He's done an awesome job.

On Tom Brady-- I have a buddy who's a die die diehard Raiders fan and he's hated Tom Brady ever since the tuck rule game. So it's been pretty funny teasing him that Brady is their savior now. Favre in MIN vibes. Ultimately, Just Win Baby.

It is funny that the Raiders are now counting on their arch enemy. But I don't think it's quite accurate to say Cousins flopped in Atlanta. Before whatever happened to him happened in week 10, the Falcons were 6-3 and Cousins had 17 TDs, 7 INTs and was coming off two straight games with an insane 145 passer rating.

But I agree that the media is not very bullish on Sam in Seattle. I tend to think they're wrong though. No way in hell he approaches 4300 yards and 35 TDs again, but I think those who think he's just going to revert back to JetSam or PantherSam are not considering the development that likely occurred in Kevin's QB Class for the Chronically Confused. He's also got some not too shabby weapons there in Kupp and Smith-Njigba, and an OC in Kubiak who was with him in San Francisco. I think he finishes top half.
