Let's be honest: Reid and KC shouldn't want Mahomes to HAVE to be Mahomes...because that kind of situation gets very old, very quickly. KC had to come from behind a LOT last season, and had too many games that brought the inevitable "well, KC squeaks by one more time" mantra. For a team that's been the AFC flag bearer since Brady and the Pats broke up, that's a pretty steep fall.

If the wins are coming, only the fans and stat hounds will be upset that a team's QB is doing fine with 240 passing yards per game with a TD or two each week. If the team NEEDS 550 yards of offense and 6 TDs from the passing game regularly...there's problems.
Build on 14-3, take back the NFCN, break the ****ing curse. Simple.

Jones gets $10M per, Mason $5.5, and this ranks as the 3rd highest paid backfield in the NFL. Wow.

Seems dubious but:

Barkley and guys on rookie deals
CMC and guys on rookie deals
Henry and Justice clock in around 14.5ish

Kwesi really wanted Jones back for at least another season, and saw enough of Mason to make that happen.

I should have posted the article a while back when I read it. Analytics support Jones in this system. Had a nice breakdown about it. Jones fits what KOC runs and is the prototypical RB for it and went on to explain it all. Why I wanted RJ Harvey for the Vikings. I see similarities in their styles.

Yep, Jones are Harvey are very similar backs. Same one cut runners, similar patience and angry running. Harvey is a LOT faster though. I think he'll start for the Broncos day one.

He was a player I really wanted. Then I focused on Jordan James when I realized Harvey was going to go much higher than people anticipated, as he did.

He should be able to start game one.

Just another reason to hate Sean Payton
