JJM on the UpandAdams Show Today

Another thing that hasn't been mentioned is the fact that Minnesota is the team JJM wanted to be drafted by.  As for me, I'd give a 110% to any team I'd play for but to be on a team I'd die to play for, I'd give a 150% to my home team.  That is JJM in a nutshell.

MN was the #1 choice from all those qbs coming out in 24. For all the (really good) reasons we already know.

JJM won the lottery when the Vikings couldn't pull-off the trade-up for Daniels or whomever they were slobbering over and were able to make a move with the Jets to 10.  

Now he can re-pay the team and fans with a Lombardi please.

lol, I don't know....he looks robust to me. And he's still got about 6-7 lbs to go. 

He looks like he's back up around his combine weight where he was 215-220.

What's interesting is I was watching Bryson DeChambeau's "Breaking 50" episode on YouTube.  He had Matthew Stafford as his partner and they were discussing playing weight and training.  Matt said he came into the league playing around 230-235, but he's been playing much lighter than that in recent years.  Said his current weight was 213.

If Stafford is playing at that weight, I don't see why we're concerned with JJ McCarthy at or slightly above that.  Both are 6'3 and no one is saying Stafford is too skinny.

Yep. Nobody's talking about it now obviously (his weight). I think Lamar Jackson slimmed down as well in weight. Joe Burrow came back bigger from his injury last year, but I'll wager he slims down a bit as well. Kirk Cousins did the same when he came to Minnesota (he actually trimmed down his last year in Wash). McCarthy's natural NFL weight is between 215 - 219 lbs. that's where he'll be. Jordan Love is at 220 lbs or slightly under.
