He's also designated a June 1 cap hit,  why do that? Unless  the Vikings are gonna make another big signing via trade .....?

I believe that by designsting him as June 1st that they can spread any remaining cap hit over this season and the next.  Outright cut now any hit is all on this years cap.  Basically cap flexibility.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

During the Spielman days the Vikings had a tendency to play anyone with a high draft number or big contract even when they weren't performing to expectation. The current front office and coaches seem willing to replace those not performing up to expectation in order to improve the team. That is a very encouraging sign!
Bradbury was brought in to put the Elf back on the shelf, and was an upgrade. He looked like a great choice to be a wide zone center and wasn't bad in that running scheme. Great guy, sadly he just didn't have the lead to anchor.
