Looking at the top passers in the league after yesterday's win, it tells a story.
Joe Burrow, Bengals is #1 having thrown for a league-high 4,229 yards (and a gawdy 39-8 TD-Int ratio) so far, but the Bengals have a 7-8 record and are on life support to make the playoffs.
Geno Smith, Seahawks is #3, having thrown for 3,937 yards (with 17 TDs against 15 picks) and the Seahags have an 8-7 record and need help and a lot of things to go wrong in Green Bay, Washington and Tampa Bay to limp into the playoffs.
I look at who are generally in the conversation as the top QBs in the league...Mahomes, Stafford, Jackson, Goff, Allen, Burrows, etc. and I have to conclude that we're pretty lucky to have snagged an interim QB like we did. The numbers speak for themselves.

I think Mahomes has ascended to that prime Aaron Rodgers-level (barf) where he has total confidence and as much control as possible over the landscape of the game. Always knowing when to accelerate, when to decel, when to spin clock, when to score fast... And he has the talent to do so. I almost guarantee he could throw for 300+ every game but they'd win less. Andy Reid is the same, just not under center. It's a big reason why KC wins so many close games.
I think KO has this talent as well, and Sam is learning it. It's why we win so many close games. Hopefully it continues for us!

I feel bad for Burrow. That defense is awful. He is the MVP and Burrow wont get it because of his defense.

No, Allen is the MVP. Burrow has had a really nice year though. He can ride around in his $3mm bat mobile if he's feeling too down...

He's not the MVP and why feel bad for him? Same stuff other QBs go through. I like Joey but he's a little too into his image, you know? He's a stud out there for the Bengals, no doubt about it.

So Caleb gets "labeled" for nail polish, but coloring your hair is ok with the bros crowd?
Just asking for a friend...
The problem for Burrow is the Bengals org. They have never been an org to double down on what they got to get over the hump. They've had a # of seasons and opportunities to do it - but they didnt.

You can take your democratic bullshit shots elsewhere. Burrow is 100 times the QB Caleb is.

Where was there a comp of Burrow vs Caleb?
I got nothing against Burrows, I just dont think he's as much an MVP candidate as Allen.
And besides, I'm independent!!
