They could trade a 2 to atl for Cousins, and then use their first on Sanders....

Lol, Zimmer is seething inside in that pix. You can see it in his red face.

Well, Tampa did it with Baker Mayfield. Seattle with Geno Smith. Rookie QB contracts aren't much good if the rookie QB is garbage.....and there looks to be a lot of hardcore unknowns in the pipeline (Levis, Richardson, Bryce Young, Caleb Williams, Justin Fields, etc.). Known quantities might be en vogue moving forward and there aren't many instances where its available: Sam Darnold might be the next to follow Cousins, Mayfield and Smith. And next year's QB class looks very, very suspect outside the top 2 (and maybe top 1).

I could see Sam ending up with the Raiders. That team has a ton of needs and it might be appealing to them to use their draft picks on a position other than QB. They get an ascending young QB in Sam and still have their full compliment of draft picks to spend on other positions of high need. Plus, Sam being a California boy it might appeal to him to continue his career in his home state…JMO…

Raiders call Nevada home now, but close enough.
