You don't give backup and swing players 3-year deals with guarantees. So while bringing Risner back at the end of the season looked like a 50/50 possibility, it went down to near zero the moment Brandel inked that deal. 

I like that the Vikings are getting bigger inside. Wes Phillips says Brandel is bigger every time he sees him. He came into the league at 6-7, 315. Makes me wonder where he's at now. 

I think this is a pretty significant upgrade in run blocking, while it might be a downgrade in pass protection. Maybe. Brandel has played well each time he's been called upon. I just hope he and Ingram stay healthy. I don't think anyone wants to see this in 4K.
