NW Indiana on Lake Michigan. Seems we used to get way more lake effect snow and when I was in school we’d get 1 or 2 days off a year.
Now, it looks like it might snow and they have an E Learning Day. I’m ok with that though. Really, as a parent, I’d rather my kids stayed home during bad weather than leave them in the hands of a part time bus driver or worse yet, their friends driving them to school.
I don’t think it’s about being soft or anything like that, I think they tend to be a little more cautious with the lives of our children.
