QB rankings are hilarious
#1
Kirk Cousins at #15....Ryan Fitzpatrick at #17. RYAN FITZPATRICK. Cousins isn't perfect, but he's criminally underrated. Dak Prescott is ranked 8th. 8TH. Since entering the NFL in 2016, Dak Prescott is 13-20 (. 393) against teams that finished the season with a winning record. In 2020, Dak Prescott was 0-3 (. 000) against winning teams as the starting quarterback.

The offensive line could be worse than a year ago, with rookie OT Christian Darrisaw missing all but a handful of practices since being drafted. The receiving depth behind Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen is somehow thinner with Irv Smith Jr. out and Kyle Rudolph in New York. If Cousins' success mostly depends on his surroundings -- like all mid-tier starting quarterbacks -- this projects as a down year.

Ill informed analysis. Rookie Darrisaw and Hill was going to be a wash even without Darrisaw's injury. If Cousins' success depends on his surroundings, it might be good to point out that there isn't a better RB/WR/WR combo in the NFC. But I guess we'll see on Sunday.

I am thinking he is 12 or 13. It's not that far off.

Prescott looking like he more than deserves that ranking tonight especially considering he is coming off a major injury.  13-20 looks pretty impressive when you compare it to Cousins 7-35.  I think 15 is pretty generous for a guy who can't win a big game.

I agree that Cousins is underrated. I actually think he's the most underrated QB in the NFL.

But a QB's win/loss record against winning teams is misleading at best. For example, the league MVP last year (Rodgers) beat two teams with winning records. His record since 2012 is 22-30. Sure, better than some of the others we're taking about, but this is the guy many think is the best QB in the NFL.

People spouting W/L record have no concept of football being a team game. Meaningless stat.
