Maybe we keep those "thoughts and prayers" where they should be
My concern is regarding him as a person. He had a rough year. His brother committed suicide. He's suffered, as many do, from some mental health issues as a result (and was then criticized for publicly speaking on it). He was emotional when he left the field. Many humans can feel for another human in distress. We can even care about multiple people and issues at once. And lastly, some of us actively participate in supporting those who don't have those millions of resources. It's not all thoughts and prayers.

Exactly. I work in mental health. I see it every day. And Skip Bayless was an asshole when he said Dak's admission of depression was weak. I can't stand it when people add to the stigma of mental health. Things like that make it so people don't seek health. And now with COVID, issues are amplified with more people suffering. I wish Dak well regardless of how much money he has.
