Thursday's Twins-Tigers game in Detroit is postponedThe Twins players voted to take part in a pro sports shutdown that started on Wednesday.

DETROIT – Twins players voted Thursday to sit out their scheduled game against the Tigers at Comerica Park.

The teams were scheduled to begin a four-game series here, but the first game was postponed, a team source confirmed, when Twins players met and decided to take part in a nationwide pro sports strike that has temporarily shut down the NBA and NHL playoffs.
There was no immediate word of when the game would be rescheduled, but a doubleheader is likely over one of the next three days.
Friday is MLB's rescheduled "Jackie Robinson Day," where all players wear Robinson's No. 42, the only number retired by all major league teams.
Three other Thursday major league games — Boston-Toronto, Philadelphia-Washington, Texas-Oakland — have also been postponed.
The shutdown is a players' protest to show solidarity following the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wis. Blake was shot seven times in the back by a police officer attempting to subdue him.
The pro sports protests started Wednesday, and the Twins finished their three game series in Cleveland with a night game. Many of the players were unaware of the protests before that game started, and it went on as scheduled.
However, given more complete information by Thursday, players met and decided on the protest. The Tigers also played on Wednesday night; Detroit manager Ron Gardenhire's pregame access Thursday has been delayed so far.
Twins manager Rocco Baldelli and the team's President of Baseball Operations Derek Falvey are scheduled to meet with reporters at 3:30 p.m. with an update

I haven't been exactly following much of pro-sports, did they shut down for the cold blooded murder of Cannon Hinnant?

Cannon Hinnant was killed by his neighbor and drug dealer who was arrested.  He was not murdered by a police officer, unless you are saying the standard you hold the police to is the same and you don't believe in our justice system, it's a false equivalency

so a felon getting shot and wounded while fighting with police who were there because the felon's girlfriend called 911 about him being dangerous and not supposed to be there is worth rioting over, but a child who is murdered in cold blood is not worth mentioning. 

Some people have some messed up priorities.  And Skodin with the continued voice of reason avoiding namecalling and making a great case for the liberal views as usual.

Who, exactly has been murdered?  The libs here like to make that accusation... but Floyd (most likely) died of a drug overdose.  Blake didn't die.  Who else?  The guy down in Atlanta who aimed a weapon at the police?  Maybe they're referring to guy who killed himself?

Breonna Taylor was killed; but it wasn't murder.  The police screwed up and broke down the wrong door.  A man inside fired on the police (thinking it was a home invasion, I guess) and then the police returned fire.  It's terrible tragic- and most likely preventable- but it wasn't murder.  So... which black man (or woman) has been "murdered" (that was the word that was used, not "killed") by the police in the last few months?
