Yes sir! I have to say Ruiz is my guy. The only player I would love to see us get more is Kinlaw. If we somehow drafted both of those guys in the first I’d freak...won’t happen, but wow it’d make my whole draft :3

Hours before draft, there's been much talk among GMs about potential late-first-round moves, with Minnesota as a key cog in the discussions. This is mostly groundwork, since draft boards need to shake out. One GM said he expects Jordan Love to create movement if he's there in 20s
I would love Love to be there at 22.  We could load up on Top 55 picks.  Love Love me do Smile

I don't mind the idea of trading up for someone like Kinlaw, one of the top 4 OTs (Thomas, Becton, Wills, or Wirfs), or top receivers (Lamb, Jeudy, Ruggs, & Jefferson (not as far up)), but I don't see a reason to trade up for a CB. There is depth and I don't see Henderson falling in range & even if he does, there are some major tackling/effort issues. If they did trade up, then they'd need to trade down with their other first rounder.

There's a bunch of similarly ranked corners in that late-first area. No need to get desperate over 1 guy in particular.

I don't want to move up for anyone, but I could understand Kinlaw. CB or a WR would be insane, considering the ridiculous cluster of good players at those positions at 22 and 25...AND through at least 40. Trade DOWN is what they should do. The only players I trade up for are Kinlaw and Thomas.

Hell, this happens every year though. Smart GMs gauge what the cost would be to move up just in case an unlikely candidate starts to fall. It's the writers who misinterpret this as targeting someone specific.
