Frank Gore 3rd all time

He has just 5 fewer regular season games played than Emmitt's 226.  That's a ton.  Adrian is like 2 years and ~1500 yards behind Gore but has only played 159 games.

Gore has always been a workhorse for every team he's played on.  Good for him.

Yabbut, does anyone really think of him as even a top 20 back of all time...kudos to his longevity, but...c'mon...

He was incredible early in his career for San Francisco. Longevity aside, he's a bit underrated.

It might be his durability and ability to play at a consistent level of "good" that's underrated.  I mean, he always did what any team could want; ran hard, maintained a good average, ground out ~11-1200 and rarely missed games.  He just never stood out above everyone else in any one season.  He never won a rushing title or led the league in rushing touchdowns.  Of course, in many seasons his second year yardage would have been enough if not for LT and L. Johnson... and then AD showed up.  It's for those reasons it's just a bit odd to see him so high on the list, even while paying attention.  He's just been... (there), plodding along and moving up the list year-by-year.

My point was he put in the time and got the numbers. He is definitely solid and steady as opposed to showy. He may not get the hype but he gets the job done.
