How concerned should Vikings be with recent cornerback play?

Should have moved Rhodes a year ago.  Zim will definitely get another one or two come April.

IMO, having a crappy inside pass rush isn't helping the secondary any either.  We have a decent rush from the DEs, but without the interior push, the pocket can stay clean when the outside guys aren't getting the QB.

should have moved him after 16 when he would have netted a very high return.  after 17 he was already showing glimpses of mediocrity and after last year the shine was off and with his contract would net nothing.... now we are stuck.

Holy shit. The Vikings only blitzed a journeyman backup QB missing his LT and RG 7 times? What, was he afraid of giving up chunk plays or something? Oh, wait. They did give up several chunk plays.

I can't for the life of me figure out what the hell his Defensive strategy was on Sunday. Hope it was just a bad day at the office.
I think Zimmer's priority last Sunday was reminding himself not to go for a 4th down from his own 30 again. Mission accomplished.

This front office is allergic to moving guys when they still have trade value.  They hang on to every guy they have who once did well like he's a jackpot lotto ticket just waiting to happen again.   They even overpay to hang on to guys, or bring back guys with questionable value.

Overvaluing the familiar and comfortable seems to be a major trait with the h.c. and translates into who is on the roster whether they can do the job or not.  This is now also accompanied by vague denials of reality at pressers when questioned on the value of players who are obviously subpar now.
