My Jackrabbits gave the Gophers a great game.....and that was an awesome catch.

Isn't it kind of weird to see Gophers WRs making these kinds of plays, PF?  We haven't had this in a while...  probably since Decker was in the maroon and gold.  We can actually have a pretty dangerous set of WRs with Tyler Johnson, Bateman, and Autman-Bell.

if not for a couple mental errors by a rookie QB,  the gopher faithful would be talking about next year already.  The Jacks came to play with their big boy pants on last night,  unfortunately they just didnt have enough big boys when they needed them on the front end of their D.

Coach Stig was all smiles after the game, but the Gophers coach looked sick.

for a team from lil ol SD in fly over country to hold a national program on the ropes like that for 3.5 quarters is a win for the program.  however,  after that scare,  how soon do you expect the gophers to take another game from SD?   maybe they will try USD next year for their warm up.

You forget Jimmy, it's not a national program... it's the Gophers :p Hopefully the scare woke them up for the road trip to Fresno State.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin stomped South Florida 49-0, MSU slowly strangled Tulsa by 21, and even Rutgers answered an early deficit by scoring 41 straight on UMass.

But it could have been worse for Fleck.  Purdue just lost at home to Nevada. You'd think they'd have learned from last year's faceplant vs. Central Michigan but nope.

Sucker bet of the week:  Iowa a 21-point favorite over Miami (Ohio).  Have the oddsmakers ever seen the Hawkeyes usual opening game offense?  I suggest "watching" this on radio =)
