We just buried my 89 year old MIL last week. She had a wonderful run. It's tough when parents get this old, tougher if you have to bury em too soon. My mother didn't even make 50.

Thank you PF. I am very sorry for your loss.

It started last week with what she thought was food poisoning. And then I started think cold or flu. But then with the chest xrays, I knew they were looking for pneumonia. I agree with you about the quality of life. She doesn't have issues with blood pressure, diabetes or cholesterol which is good. The only relatively recent health issues were a knee and hip replacement 3 or 4 years ago. Perspective came real quick. I am glad she is home now.
