NBA question
#1
So can one of our NBA wonks here tell me why the Timberwolves arent listed as one of the teams that would be interested in Carmelo Anthony?  The wolves desperately need an outside scoring threat to help open up the middle for KAT... why wouldnt the wolves with their supposedly up and coming roster be going hard at a guy that could potentially be signed for the veterans minimum if he is waived by the Thunder?

They are against the hard cap and can't offer more than a few million.

He can't play Defense. In this new era of BBall you have to be able to switch on pick and rolls. He's also best in ISO.instead of catch and shoot or off of screens.

Melo.has literally become a dinosaur just like Dwight Howard. You need the right kind of player or players to keep guys like that effective at what they are good at while minimizing their deficiencies.

The Wolves don't have that player. And Tibs isn't really that kind of coach either.

If Carmelo doesn't have the ball in his hands, he's useless.  Plus he's not that great an outside shooter (career .347 3 pt % ) and hasn't shot 46% from the field total since 2010/11.

So, a 33-year old volume shooter with iffy efficiency who doesn't pass, D, or rebound.  No thanks.
