How much difference is his level?  Do you think he is worth 30 mill?

I like Case also.  A big part of it I think is his drive, his fire and desire to win.  His belief in himself.  He works hard thinks he can come out on top.  I think that is how a qb needs to be to elevate those around him. I wonder if Cousins has that quality.  I dont know that much about his personality.
If Cousins continues to average 30+ TDs a season like he has the past 3 years...  you bet he is.  But I don't think he'll get 30 million per year.  I think it will be in the 25-27 million per year range, but he'll beat out Stafford's guarantees.
All kidding aside - I would have to say that if he gives us 30+TD's a year, I think it would change my mind on him. Currently, not a fan. But... your saying 30+? hmmmmm...
His TD totals the past three seasons have been 34 (29 passing + 5 rushing), 29 (25 passing + 4 rushing), and 31 (27 passing + 4 rushing).

He will also have better receivers, RBs, and a better offensive line than anything he's had before (if he signs with the Vikings).

I'm kind of intrigued to see what his numbers would look like with us.
His numbers might not get better when playing on a more balance offense.  Washington had a fairly crappy running game, so Cousins had to throw more often.  Also he was playing from behind, and that can misleadingly "pump up" stats when facing prevent defenses.

Probably everyweek in the NFL you see a QB with over 300 yards on the losing end of a game, while the winning QB has 260 or so with RBs that also gained 120 on the ground.

After we build a 21 point lead and Zimmer switches to the conservative game, Cousins numbers might not be as good.

That's a fair point...  but couldn't we also expect that Cousins turnovers would drop in a more balanced offense and playing with a better team?  I mean look at Bradford and Keenum.  Both of their INT rates dropped CONSIDERABLY once they joined the Vikings.  Here are their career INT rates prior to joining the Vikings and their INT rate once they played for us:
Keenum (pre-Vikings) = 2.57 %
Keenum (Vikings) = 1.46 %
Bradford (pre-Vikings) =  2.27 %
Bradford (Vikings) = 0.91 %
I would attribute that drop to coaching, scheme, and having two receivers in the top 5 for contested catches.  If their career INT rates were cut in half or more once they joined the Vikings, why wouldn't the same happen to Cousins?  It's not like Keenum and Bradford were known for taking care of the football prior to coming to Minnesota.  Also, Cousins career interception rate is 2.62 %...  that's not significantly higher than Keenum or Bradford.  It's actually right in line with Keenum and slightly higher than Bradford.
Further...  as far as the "garbage time stats"...  in 2017, Cousins had 486 yards and 3 TDs to 2 INTs when his team was trailing by 9-16 points (courtesy of ESPN).  Keenum had 314 yards and 1 TD to 1 INT trailing by 9-16 points this season.  That's around 10-12% of Cousins production coming in garbage time.  I'm failing to see how his stats were "pumped up" in garbage time.

I agree Cousins would be better playing on a more balanced team like the Vikings.  It worked great for Case, so I'd expect the same for Cousins.  I just don't agree he's going to have more impressive stats than last season with Washington (ints should improve).  I'd expect something very similar to Case's.  Folks want to pimp up the stats of yards and TDs for Cousins, but he might not have as many with a team that can run the ball.

Washington had to be more pass happy to stay in games, so it would make sense that Cousins had more passing yards than teams with strong running games.

He'd be fine for the Vikings, but I just don't think he's anything all that special.  It's not like Washington had all these great seasons riding on Kirk's back (or arm).  Washington is actually throwing him out the door and starting over for an older QB and probably a new rookie.

Int stats are questionable...Bradford & Keenum both played for Jeff Fisher and the Rams.
Foles got benched midseaon playing for the Rams. My opinion is Jeff Fisher was the problem with their QB play.

Vikings are a better coached team, that I won't argue.

Cousins has been known to be a stat whore in garbage time. Which you don't blame him for wanting to pad his stats considering the situation he was in at Washington.

Edit: he was

That "pass happy" Washington team had 540 pass attempts last season compared to the "balanced" Vikings offense that had 527 passing attempts.

last year Cousins attempts per Quarter:

Q1 - 113
Q2 - 148
Q3 - 134
Q4 - 143

Don't see that much of an attempt to be a stat whore.

Not looking for an argument by any means but you can google anything to find what you want.  I was just providing stats to show contradictory evidence of a stat whore and garbage time numbers showing that his pass attempts don't go up in the 4th or when down by a lot.
