Adam Thielen could finish with more yards than any Vikings WR other than Randy Moss
#1
Vikings Pro Bowl wide receiver Adam Thielen already reached one major yardage milestone this season when he became the first Minnesota receiver since Sidney Rice in 2009 to top 1,000 yards.
But here’s an even better honor still within reach for Thielen:
With two games left, Thielen has 1,191 receiving yards. That puts him No. 14 on the Vikings’ all-time single-season list — not bad, but again he has two games remaining.
If he hits his season average of 85 yards Saturday against Green Bay, he’ll move into the top 10. If he hits that average again in two weeks against Chicago — assuming the Vikings have something to play for in that game and all the regulars play four quarters — he would move into the top five.

There is something absolutely special about AT. I have this weird feeling that this kid is going to fulfill the dream and catch the winning TD in the Super Bowl in US Bank in his homestate.

Thielen has a tough mentality. He's a gangsta out there. His confidence is why he is where he is right now.

You have to have that special something to be a white WR in the NFL and be successful. Its the truth. Nobody respects you or your athletic ability when you are white at that position. You have to overcome.

I dont think anyone is taking AT lightly anymore...Frankly, I am surprised he's our #1 WR ahead of Diggs. Would be interesting to watch the tape and see if/how defenses are playing AT any differently now.

For years it seemed that other teams found that guy at WR like Adam. I’m glad he’s a Viking, it is also cool that he grew up a Vikings fan.

There has to be something about playing for your favorite team, too.

Also, when Sanders interviewed Thielen for his Prime show, he mentioned the white WR thing. I don’t think AT wanted to really talk about it from that perspective, but Sanders kind of kept asking the question.

How cool would it be if Diggs hit
1,000 too ?
Last time a tandem did that here was Carter/Moss
Diggs is @ 724...
A reach I know, but a big play here, big play there...seems healthier now too
Either way, it's all good !!

This is exactly right...Better stop and smell the roses this season, it's been a doozy so far. Thielen and Case are the poster children for it - maybe Barr too Wink

I would say outside of DT/DE, WR has been the most glamorous position of Viking lore.
