NFL Head Coaching Recommendations ...
#1
The NFL’s Career Development Advisory Panel has issued its list of recommended head coaching candidates for 2018:

Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy,
Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels,
Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia,
Texans defensive coordinator Mike Vrabel,
Vikings defensive coordinator George Edwards,
Saints assistant head coach and tight ends coach Dan Campbell,
Chiefs special teams coach Dave Toub,
Eagles quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo,
Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz,
Panthers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks,
Lions offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter and
Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur.
That's 12 names.  There will likely be 7 or 8  HC jobs available for next season.  I would like to keep both Edwards and Shurmur. But if I could only keep 1, I would keep Shurmur.

Give Pat an Asst. Head Coach title!

Hopefully the offensive minds give Josh McDaniel another shot.  Leave old Shurmur alone.

Hopefully Shurmur and Edwards are more interested in back to back Superbowl titles

Bill O'Brien will be available soon...if we lost Pat he might be a good option...

Except Watson keeps saying that he wants O'Brien to be the HC. Maybe that won't be enough, but it can't hurt. He lost Watson, JJ Watts, and Mercilus this year. So it's not all on the HC. I would not be surprised to see O'Brien keep his job at least another year.
