GBN 2026 Mock Draft

https://gbnreport.com/2026-projection-2/

With the new kickoff rules, Branch might go even higher. Penn State has two RBs worth watching. iDL will be a need. And there’s going to be a big fat gapping hole at S that needs to be addressed.

After completing literally 100s of mocks for 25, I’ve had this meme in waiting for 6 months. Lol. 50 plus years and I pulled zero picks. Oh well, maybe next year.

If we stand pat (I don't think we will) then RB and S become big needs for us in 2026.

June 1 and roster cut down might fill out the roster. As you previously noted we’re short 1 RB as of this moment.

Already looking at the 26 class. I’m viewing S, RB and iDL as priority 1A, 1b and 2.

No 2nd rounder hurt my soul....

You could have potentially gotten Emmanwori or one of the Buckeye backs.

Omg! Mettelus according to SportsTrac is a FA in 2026!

God damn it!

And yes, being unable to secure Henderson or Emmanwori early Day 2 was a big kick in the nads.

Thats a very good point re: roster cuts.

And somebody posted earlier, we are an injury away from Ty Chandler, not good.

This is one of the reasons I was against packaging 26 picks this year to move up in the 3rd, for a RB especially since they are fairly easy to come by in FA and the draft most years.  I would have loved to have had our 2nd this year to jump up from and take advantage of some falling talent at positions of potential need,  but there will always be needs and guys falling and if we are always giving away future value for the present, I dont think we ever really get the best bang for our buck.

Those day 1 and 2 picks are just to valuable IMO to be spending them a year early on later day 2 talent.

I think the RB issue might still be handled via FA or cuts, it's still early days in this offseason. We have two VERY good backs plus Ham at FB, it's not like the cupboard's bare. A young'un/developmental player will likely come around...and/or pop up from ever-changing UDFAs.
Wishing a great season for the team, Especially Mundt and Kwenkeu! Big Grin
