I think the evolution of Sam is pretty simple: it's his first season with our team, our staff, our systems. He's gotten more and more familiarity, can lean on his recent experience more than he could in week 6 or whatever, and is part of the game planning as opposed to the "spot warmer" assumptions made about him for months.
He's embracing the redemption opportunity, and the team is reminding the league of who the Vikings were before having to play rotating QBs for months. Sam doesn't have to carry the team, he just has to be the best QB he can be each week.
This has been a very fun season, while also being kinda maddening and full of anticipation. We are in THE game everyone is discussing right now, and we should enjoy the hell out of it...!!!
Let's beat the Lions and get that week of rest, Vikings! SKOL!!
