Vikings #1 QB-friendly team
#1
No surprise there. But what might surprise a few are the grades he gave them...

The Purple Persuasion@TPPSkol

Per @FB_FilmAnalysis
He ranked the #Vikings as No. 1 in how QB-friendly they are.  Here were the grades:

Pass blocking: B
Run game: B
Weapons: A
Play-caller: A-
Defense: A-

"Ultimately, the potential for a long-term partnership with O’Connell and Jefferson makes the Vikings the top destination for a young QB. The Vikings also play in a dome, which is conducive to passing."

________

Here’s how I'd grade them:

Pass blocking: B-
Run game: C+
Weapons: A+
Play-caller: A-
Defense: C

Not just that, but the facilities, a major metro area for activities and lifestyle, stable ownership, etc. I mean being a player in Jacksonville, Green Bay or even Detroit to a lesser extent is just brutal from a lifestyle perspective. And I think playing inside in a cold weather city is huge.

A rookie QB coming into Minnesota will be set up for success. Zero doubt about it.

Wow. Just wow. Must be assuming everything that went wrong last year was on Mattison.

I agree with most of yours, but until they prove they can run the ball, I'd grade them a D+ to maybe a C-.

Agree. I think they might be overrating Aaron Jones a little. I love that we have him, and think he's a pretty big upgrade over Mattison, but he is 29 and injury prone. And while our line pass blocked pretty well last year, they didn't run block very well at all.
