Big win. If you want to nitpick somehow this win, I guess go ahead? Otherwise its a big W on prime time against a very good opponent.
I suppose I could have waited until tomorrow to make a separate thread, but the point remains that in my opinion this type of win isn't a sustainable model for success. We simply have to find ways to create a respectable run game, and have to impose our will in in short yardage/red zone situations to become a consistent and balanced offensive threat. It would be one thing if our pass game was opening up the run game, but it's not. Being one dimensional will eventually lead to disaster. Nitpicking or tempering the euphoria...I'm a Vikes fan who's seen this movie...lol

I think we need to factor in what defense we played against. This wasn't a bottom tier, or even a mid. I honestly expected to see us put up single digits. Also, I think Akers is going to make our run game better every week. I am wondering about Ham though. Is he off doing Captain stuff? Cuz it seems like we really could use a fullback on those goal line carries.
We haven't had a 100 yd. rusher this season, and 5 games where our leading rusher was held under 50 yds. That's just silly bad. It's not just bad RB's. These guys are getting swarmed in the backfield on a regular basis. There is no push or lanes created from this line.

Just imagine what Cousins could do with a good pass blocking line!

we need to see more beef in our IOL on those short yardage runs, plain and simple, a FB isnt going to move a DT that is getting push against our OGs and Center.

and speaking of play calling,  somebody check KOC for concussion,  what makes him think we have the horses for the tush push play? i would have laughed if it wasnt so horribly executed.   Our IOL cant do it, our QB doesnt have the legs for it,  and slamming Ham into them is likely just going to get Kirk hurt.  Know your limitations coach.  This O is built for deception,  this is certainly not an impose your will type of offensive roster.
