Officiating

Is it just me or did anyone else kind of get the feeling the officials started calling real questionable calls on Detroit last night after the game got to 24-3?   Couple of REAL questionable holding calls slopped a TD drive, another stopped a drive basically making them punt.  Then when the didn't have ONE first down that encroachment call on 3rd and 5 was ridiculous.  Then to keep another drive going which ended in a Packer TD a 15 yard personal foul on a linebacker hitting a Packer RB out of bounds?   Something was just OFF on those calls in my opinion and they DEFINITELY kept the game a mildly competitive situation.

Letting that completion at the end of third quarter stand.  You would think this could have been reviewed.  The hands to the face and that helmet to helmet on the packers scoring drive also looked bad.  https://twitter.com/ABsneurosurgeon/stat...90570?s=20

Yep. It would be so easy to assist teams in coming back with borderline officiating calls like this. I've never felt the NFL was fixed, but I don't think it would take much to tip the scale in a team's favor either.

the rams taking a meaningless field goal 2 weeks ago to cover the spread kinda makes you wonder though doesnt it?

Once the score got a bit lopsided, the refs usually slide in some bs calls

I’m don’t have strong feelings on refs helping Vegas, but I
do believe that sometimes the NFL sometimes wants a certain storyline to play
out and help or hinder certain teams to achieve that end (*Cough* 9/11 ->
Patriots SB and Katrina -> Saints SB *Cough*)  I think teams with the elite QBs get way more
favors that help them win a little extra. 
I think they try to keep games close to make them more interesting.  I wouldn’t be surprised if the Swift-Kelce
romance isn’t entirely a fabrication for marketing purposes.

I was with you up to the point of a billionaire diva entertainer agreeing to be romantically linked for the purpose of selling some tickets and jerseys,  whats in it for her?  Shes got money,  and basically prints more anytime she wants.

The idea that the NFL is fixed is just stupid. But I do agree that refs, because they're flawed human beings, sort of get star struck around "celebrity" QBs and give them a lot of calls other QBs wouldn't get. 

The Traylor thing is the NFL striking gold.
