Although I support the team as opposed to individual players, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the guy who grew up 22 miles North of where I grew up.
I played for the Pelican Rapids Vikings and we played Detroit Lakes in a lot of sports, a long time ago. It was gratifying to see someone from that area beat the odds and become a great Viking player.
I wish him the best of luck and thank him for what he did for the Vikings. He helped make a lot of my Sundays better.
