Kene Nwangwu TD Return
#1
[Tomasson] #Vikings special-teams coordinator Matt Daniels on Kene Nwangwu not breaking loose until his TD return last Thursday. "Quite honestly, I was holding him back." Against the Patriots on that return, Daniels said he drew up something that the Vikings hadn't even practiced.

He and his assistant supposedly drew this return up at half time.  It had completely new assignments and was not similar to any other plan.

Daniels is going to move up in the league. Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a coordinator call in the next year or two.

Here's the interview with Special Teams Coach Daniels where he talks about the return to the house.  Boy he really takes responsibility for not getting better returns all year long.  Hopefully this is a good sign going forward for more of the same.

He’s the special teams coach. He’ll be in line to be an offensive or defensive coordinator.

Interesting that he is working with adjustments for Greg Joseph also.

I really like how the new Vikings coaches take responsibility for any team deficiencies.
