If you read what JJ said, there’s zero drama here. It’s nothing more than a dubious reporter purposely misconstruing what he was saying. The fact he couldn’t make this one, is only news if the reporter desires manipulating viewpoints/manufacturing narratives.
It’s the same as reporters speculating that JJ doesn’t like Kirk in one breath, but then ignoring the fact that he invited him down to spend time working out. Typically you don’t spend voluntary time with people you dislike. It’s the same story as usual with the press, just a new season.
