Who is the real Dalvin Cook?

His blitz pick up is amazingly good. The trust that the team has showed in Cook already is almost stunning. He must have hit the playbook HARD to be this evolved already. He may be the perfect modern RB.
Bradford was recently quoted in an article talking about Cook and was asked what he expects Dalvin to do this season.

He said the most impressive thing about him is how hard he works.  Bradford also said what was surprising in training camp is the team didn't have to parse down the offense or design certain packages to get Dalvin on the field.  His ability to grasp concepts, blocking assignments, etc were amazing for a rookie and the team felt completely comfortable using the entire play book with him on the field.

The fact that Bradford went the "extra mile" pointing out all these things tells me it wasn't propping up a teammate by saying all the right things and being somewhat vague with the media.  I think he and the coaches were genuinely surprised with how quickly he has adjusted to the NFL.

Impressive debut for Cook...  Hunt still stole the show Week 1, but Dalvin and Fournette are probably 2a / 2b in terms of impressive rookie debuts this season.

I was there last night, glad I got to see the Rook @ his 1st game!

But I was saying the same thing to my buddy last night. I was very surprised that when the Saints had a chance to get back into it a bit and we needed to eat some clock, they had the rook in there, not #25 or #21.

They rode Cook hard last night.

There was a stretch he was averaging under 3.0 ypc and they had me wishing they would have done more off the edge running. Postgame Superstar was saying if you don't show you can run in-between the tackles, you'll never get outside of an NFL defense on off-tackle runs. Makes sense. Plus I guess they have to think about what they're putting on tape for the Steelers.

Terence Newman doesn’t give any answers without close consideration, so as he stood by the Vikings’ giant video machine near the practice field end zone, he repeated the question a few times before answering.
“What part of his game do I like most? What part of his game do I like most?”
Pause.
“He’s a studier,” Newman said.
